The Bow Frogs is a small-group cello ensemble inspired by my own childhood experience studying under the beloved Joan Lunde in Clearwater, Florida. Ms. Lunde shaped me not only as a cellist, but as a teacher- instilling in me the importance of kindness, support, and seeing each student as a whole person, not just a musician.
She founded The Bow Frogs long before I ever picked up a cello. I joined the group as a young student in youth orchestra, and it changed everything for me. Surrounded by peers (many more advanced than I was!), I felt challenged, uplifted, and part of something special. Eventually, The Bow Frogs became a trio of me and two friends, and together- with Ms. Lunde’s guidance- we laughed, learned, and grew into strong, expressive players.
Now, I’m honored to bring The Bow Frogs back to life here in Spring, TX- creating that same kind of experience for the next generation of young cellists.
The Bow Frogs is a chamber music class just for cello students. Small ensembles of up to 4 students meet regularly to play fun and inspiring music together- everything from classical favorites to movie themes, pop hits, and more.
It’s a low-pressure, high-growth opportunity for students to:
Whether your child is just starting out or is ready for more musical challenge, The Bow Frogs will meet them where they are- and help them grow into the kind of cellist who plays with joy, purpose, and heart.
Group size is limited to 4 to ensure personal attention and space. If demand is high, additional Bow Frogs groups will be created.
